SR20エンジンの純正品のオイルブロックは、オイルフィルター取り付けセンターネジ部が強度不足で破損してしまうトラブルが発生しています。
当社でも20年以上前、N2レース参戦時にそのトラブルを抱え、オイルブロックを製作し問題を解決致しました。そして、N2レース終了と共に生産を終了していましたが、非常に多くのラブコールを頂き、当時のN2オイルブロックから更なる軽量化や、油温、油圧取り出し部を設けるなど、大きな進化を遂げて、復活するに至りました。
オイルブロックを破損してしまうとエンジンに致命的ダメージを与え、高度にチューニングを施したエンジンを一気に無駄にしてしまうことになります。また、特にオイルクーラー用のサンドイッチブロックなどを使用している車両は、破損しやすいので特に要注意です。ドリフトや峠、サーキット走行など、また強化エンジンマウント使用車など、過酷な使用下には必須のアイテムです。

OIL LUBRICATION
The SR20 engine's factory oil block tends to fail due to the weak oil filter sensor screw which often breaks. We here at TOMEI had found the problem during professional racing over a decade ago, so we designed & produced this upgrade oil block which solved the problem.
We had later discountinued this product after the end for the N2 series race but due to popular demand we had to bring it back into production with a new revived design. Now being lighter than before with ports for oil temperature and oil pressure sensors. The failure in the oil block can lead to engine failure so this is an absolute must have upgrade to protect your investment. Especially with vehicles running a sandwich block or similar the oil cooler can fail at times so you have to take added precautions.
