| Bore of the stock turbine outlet, is so small that it will cause the rise of secondary exhaust pressure. If secondary exhaust pressure rises, power will fall, response will get worse and boost torque will also become unstable. TOMEI outlet attains larger diameter and optimization of form for the improvement in exhaust efficiency, and reduces secondary exhaust pressure sharply. Moreover, it is designed to fit to the exit shape of ARMS turbine and to perform best at the time of ARMS use. Corrosive-proof stainless steel material is used for a pipe part, and heat-resistant steel material is used for a flange. |

EVO VII~ model |
 |
In a turbo engine, by closing a throttle in accelerator-off, the boosted air by the turbine sometimes flow backwards to a turbine, and may cause a turbine blow. Then, in order to prevent damaging turbine at the time of accelerator-off, the blow-off valve is installed between a turbo and a throttle. Stock blow-off valve of Evo is equipped with the function that relieves the boost pressure if the boost goes up too much at the time of accelerator-on. Therefore, the boost of Evo is not raised more than fixed boost pressure with stock blow-off. But, on the other hand, it will become the cause of turbine blow if the blow-off valve is removed. As for a TOMEI blow-off valve, only the boost pressure relief function has eliminated while the turbine protection function is left. Moreover, since we applied a bypass type instead of an air release type, there is no worry for engine stall or the deviation of a fuel control. It is an item indispensable to tuning of 4G63 by any means. |
